I did for a few months this spring, but I don't want to comment to much because our spring in Alberta was somewhat mild. The limited experience I do have was good.

White light is harder to see with in a blizzard than yellow light. White on white give you no contrast. If you get these you may want to look into some yellow LED's for your fogs or add a couple of yellow LED rigid lights to your rig.

Mine has melted frost on mine before. My truck is mostly garage kept but the few times it has stayed outside during cold weather frost hasn't been a problem with melting. Snow?? Dunno.

The word is that you're better off doing an HID retrofit.

would this be like throwing HID bulbs in stock lights as far and being dangerous and scattered light? I had HIDs in my lights with no projectors and yeah they were bright but not safe for others on the road

Exactly..... for $250 just spend the extra on a retrofit. $150 and they are worth it (to me). $250 is stupid.

I've been extremely happy with the $150 bulbs and they have been worth the investment. Anything over that and a retrofit would be your best bet.

Even with the 70W lights, I've never ever been flashed. Probably because they output very little usable light.

I've never been flashed by another vehicle, so I think once these are aimed right you're fine. I don't have the 70w versions. I have the first ones they came out with (35w?). They are great lights IMHO. I've had them for a year now with no issues. Others have had problems so they aren't flawless, but compared to my silverstars I definitely fell I spent my 150 bucks well (okay... 300 bucks, I did the floods to so all my lights match :)). I agree they scatter a bit more than the halogens but the cutoff is still good and these things light up reflective signs and deer eyes from miles away.

I'd do a retrofit except that would mean taking my truck out of commission for several days while I meticulously did them myself. Maybe one day if I can find some cheap headlights off a wreck I'll do it over a period of time. Till then I'm perfectly happy with these Lifetime LED's. I'm pretty sure in 5-10 years this technology will replace Halogens in most cars.

I can't afford the +$1000 that guys are asking for ready to go FX-R retrofits in OEM housings. That's just insane for lights that could leak, scuff, etc.

I disagree with Voodoo. With my flood lights and low beams on I feel far more confident with the LED's over my old halogens. To each his own though.
