Axle wrap most likely. Could be a bad u joint or carrier bearing but I highly doubt it at such low mileage with no suspension mods.

 

I agree with the axle wrap theory. Look for broken or cracked rear leaves. I understand there was a recall on 2nd gen leaves but not sure if it was for your year.

 

Hrm, ok. Hell, the stock leaf pack sucks balls. I may have to upgrade it sooner then expected.

But of course that's a slippery slope to a lift.

Is RTI a good place to have a lift installed?? I have heard good things. Opinions anyone?

FIFY. no way I was going to spend $ 500 on a light bar.
I now have about $ 130 in 4 pods and a lightbar including mounting, switches, and wiring thanks to Amazon and cheap underage chinese labor

 

I disagree on the axle wrap theory. That should happen under hard accelerations. But for that low of mileage you might make sure the U bolts are properly torqued.

Ah youth and a lifted truck... the memories.

 

I'll be able to chime in here on this after the 27th. Kirk (RTI) is doing a rear axle housing mod/complete rebuild with an install of a 4.10 eLocker.

Then Fire Pony introduced this to me so I don't worry as much about the eLocker after it's installed. Hers was free at Rock Therapy 2014, but $50 seems like a sound investment to me.
