Same thing happened to me on my 11, looks like someone (maybe more than 1 person) was jumping on the roof.

    Drat!

Is 2600 some kind of vandalism limit? Or is that the initial body shop estimate? Because that looks like a lot more that 2600 in damage to me. I'm guessing between 4 and 5K.

It was like $2680 ins estimate. The actual cost could be more and there was also a big dent where the TRD off road sticker was.

The worst part now is every time I drive it, I look out over the hood and see it all smashed in.

I hope you meant to say $2680!

Funny thing is, I bet you whoever did this to YOUR truck would be screaming for the head of the guy who did it to THEIR truck!

If I remembered correct, about 5 or 6 years ago an Asian guy shot at some thugs that were in the process of stealing his catalytic converter in Sacramento. It happened in his drive way. The cops arrested him and later dismissed the charges for him shooting the thugs vehicle. His defense was the bullet holes showed proof who the thugs were. Anyone interested in this incident can probably find it in the Sacramento Bee archives.

I feel for you .... That's a real shame. One Day they will get caught and get what they deserve - hopefully!

    Question - Why Just $2600 ??

i will tell you that repairing the bedside alone may cost up to $1000 if they have to replace/repaint it. i hope your insurance covers it all. really sorry to hear. how is the roof of your car? hood is an easy replacement.
