Open in youtube and look at description. I updated list yesterday. No one with a tacoma has tried it..

If video method does not work...Try

    1) Close all doors
    2) Insert your Master key (black) into the key cylinder
    3) Turn the ignition from Lock to On 5 times within 15 seconds - on the 5th time, leave the key in the ON position
    4) Open and close the driver's door 6 times within 20 seconds
    5) Turn the Master key back to Lock and remove (immobilizer light should be solid at this point. If not, begin procedure again)
    6) Insert the new blank key and turn to ON position(immobilizer should now start to blink)
    7) Leave in ON position for at least 60 seconds (while the key registers with the vehicle)
    8) After 60+ seconds immobilizer light should go off, sign that key is programmed).
    9) Open then Close the driver's door to end the process

Only this method and method in video have shown to work with DOT engraved keys.

    Hi neneago,
How do I order a flip key from you? Do you have PayPal?
    Thanks

While some of the OP's wording seems a touch vague, PayPal has buyer protection so I pulled the trigger on one of the flip keys. Communications have so far been very quick, and once I receive the key and get it cut, I'll use TechStream to program and report back in this thread.

AFAIK, the different stamps on the key blade signify a different range of transponder frequencies.

Thanks for the bump. I already told you this in a post before. I tried to make it a simple answer. If you want me to get into detail... Here you go.
The chips have nothing to do with frequencies. It's a certain encryption put into the chip.
"o" dot chip keys have a 40bit encryption that only requires 4 passwords.
"G" chip keys have an 80bit transponder that require 30 passwords.
G chips are already being phased out by Toyota for a higher encryption chip "H"

The chips are not interchangeable. Any new keys must have the same type of chip installed. The car will copy the encryption on the chip onto it's ECU. So technically, you are programming the car as the chip will not change.

Which is why I fix guns, not transponder systems.

I drove a VW for ten years before I bought my Tacoma. I will buy one of the VW style flip keys today. I have a dot engraved on my key and I just need the lock, unlock and panic buttons. I sent you a PM!

I'd buy a two button flip key for my '14 if it'll work!

Coming through your neighborhood tomorrow and on Sunday, but flip keys aren't my thing. :(

Can I return it before I pick it up and swap you for the regular all in one? :) ;)

Finally we agree on something. I don't like flip keys as its one more thing that can break. Only available at my shop after 4PM.

I'll be through town before that by a few hours, hopefully avoiding traffic from the Giants games. My sister lives on Corbett though so maybe another time when I'm down there visiting her.

I've found flip keys to be weak at the pivot pin, my neighbor is a VW freak and has broken several in the same spot. Lot of force applied there when you turn the key.

I liked the first version of the all-in-one key so much I bought a flip key to replace my other key.
