I bought my truck on 7/20/13, with 204 miles when it rolled off the lot (it was transferred from a PA dealer to the one in MD where I bought it).

Thanks! Hoping I can get this lift and tires on before thanksgiving and she'll be sitting pretty I have a lot more I want to do too, I'm just broke trying to save up now that I'm in the real world and live in an expensive area. Lol

 

Not only does the lift make a difference, but you'll really notice it when you throw bigger/different tars on it. Made a world of difference in the look of mine!

 

Yea, that's what I'm expecting. Personally, I think the DCSB looks best when it's lifted. It does something to help the proportions of cab/bed lol I'd like to get some different rims, but I don't have the money for it now, so maybe for my next set of tires. I drove a ton for work and will be going through tires probably once every 1.5-2 years, so I'll have plenty of chances to change it up lol

 

My dashboard has been rattling against the windshield like crazy lately and it's been driving me insane. I bought a rubber fender washer and shoved it down between the two. Drove around with it like that all afternoon and no more rattle! best $1.50 mod this far! lol

 

I was torn between a sport and OR, Love ther color match and mirrors on your sport . Im getting my 2015 Pyrite Mica DCSB TRD OR 4x4 in a month, let me know if you want to unload those side mirrors when you make the upgrade, im WTB some.

I'll let you know If I do. I haven fully decided that in going to get the EFX mirrors at this point. I like the thought of them, but it's not a necessity and they're almost $500 which IMO is ridiculous.

I'll keep you in mind though lol

Booooooo. Lol there are times I kind of with I had an AC, but I think it's mainly that I wish I had gotten the long bed. I hardly ever have other people riding with me, but I use that back seat as a closet/office/junk box. Lol


Totally unrelated, but I need new and better photos. Too bad it's been raining the past two days is nasty out right now.

 

If I was in high school and bought a truck it'd be a first gen AC or RC 4x4. No pets, no starting a family etc.

But now, getting married soon and a 100 lb dog later, DC is required. I like the short wheel base of the SB because I don't risk getting high centered wheeling if I need extra storage space, fold the rear seats down and load it up. I say again:

hahaha don't get me wrong, I love my double cab, but sometimes I could have used the long bed. As much as I actually haul stuff though, its not a big deal. My back seat is solely storage unless I offer to drive a group of people somewhere. lol I've usually got binders and papers from work, my hard hat, briefcase, and boots back there.

hahaha that just looks like bad luck. Probably could have cleared it if the front side of the log wasn't lower than the back.

 

I bought some little mini tie-down/d-rings from Tractor Supply today. I'm going to bend/cut the surface mount bracket so that I can mount them on the screws around that stupid little cubby hole and the outlet in my bed. I'm tired of boxes of oil and other little things bouncing around back there.

I know i've seen it done a few times, so it's nothing ground breaking, but should be pretty helpful. The smallest I could find were 400# rated galvanized steel which is way overkill, but at $6 for a four pack, i'm not complaining.




I've also narrowed my tire decision down to the Hankook DynaPro ATM and General Grabber AT2. Still haven't decided on P or LT rated. I'll probably end up with LT because I'm a fan of having more than I need instead of needing more.. I'm leaning towards the Grabbers for the sole reason that they're a 60K mile tire opposed to the 50K Hankooks. They're practically the same price and weight though

bed space > cab space. AAaaaaaand.....for those who may not know... For second gens, DCSB and ACLB are the same exact wheel base.

 

Yea, but I don't haul lawnmowers and shit with me everywhere like you lol I have my toolbox full of crap for work, and every once in a while have some cones/a ladder/garden hoses. The times I actually need the bed like when I helped my sister move, I take the toolbox out and just load it as full as I can. lol suits my needs

 

And mine suits my needs. I can haul a shit load of wood, ATVs, motorcycles, furniture, brush, garbage, scrap metal, and on and on...

 

thats all that matters. haha sorry if i'm coming off a little grumpy. im tired and this football game is pissing me off lol
