That may have been a slight exaggeration lol but it's coming up on a year and a half and he's still taking shit apart haha.

    He's got
    Interior
    Engine
    Paint
    A lot of fine tuning

My guess is between another year and a half to two years. But it'll be bad ass and one of a kind no doubt!

This has always been my dream.

A first gen 4.7l tundra motor in a tacoma. You'd probably have to do a whole drive line swap though.

Yeah... But... But.... It no toyota lol

I'd want to super charge the 4.7, it may not put out big torque but I know where I could get one and they have a lot more torque than the 3.4l plus I haven't seen the 4.7 swap but I've seen a ls1 swap

I haven't bought any parts yet. It could still go either way (reassemble it stock, or mod the engine now). There was no way in hell I was gonna put the engine back in without a thorough cleaning at the minumum, after sitting in the garage as I built the rest of the truck. I don't want to fuck up the engine with bits of metal/debris that may have found their way in there. Taking it apart now helps me get to know it better and figure out what will need to be done. (At least that's what I tell myself. :anonymous: )

Not sure what you mean. Part of my goal here is to keep the weight off the front end to both balance out the weight front to back and keep a lower COG. I'm content with sticking to an in-line 4 for those reasons as well as fitment of other parts (ie. sway bar). The 3RZ is a perfect candidate.

Even if the engine will be capable of 500hp, it's unlikely that I'd ever run it near that mark. I'm trying to over-build it to give it some breathing room and remain reliable.

Decided I was in over my head with this build. Traded the project and went to the dark side with a Ranger. Already started a bumper for it since it was missing one.
