2” lift for now-just bought it
Has anyone heard or have knowledge when the new body style 3rd generation Tacoma will be released?

I'm wanting a new truck. Been driving my '06 since Nov/2005. She still looks good, runs excellent with over 250k miles. I am thinking time she retire to the barn and buy a new one.

Will wait until this new style is released. :oldglory:

In short? No. Some people talk 2016, but it's talk and Toyota hasn't released anything publicly.

3rd gen will be a 2016 model. There are already spy shots of it driving around undergoing testing. You'll be able to buy one a year from now.

Might be a redesign in 2017, and they will just release more 2015s as 16s.

Custom carbon fiber tires, a 4' spoiler on the anti gravity tail gate, heated and cooled stereo controls so your fingers don't get too hot or cold.

In all seriousness though prob next year will be the new redesign.

Could you mod the AC and heat controls to be cooled and heated also? In case I get blinded and I need to adjust my ambient air temps, I can do it through touch like Helen Keller.

All true. It'll also come with an extra button that launches a heat seeking missile at the nearest 2nd generation Chevy Colorado and rear impact airbags. Diesel electric will be the only power train option.

i heard they were going to make cavities all over the truck and seal them and fill them with helium to reduce weight which also will increase payload and towing capabilities. sources say the helium bladders will need servicing every 30,000, and should shave off significant poundage

Don't worry, the bladder material will be dual lifting gas compatible. Hydrogen can be used in a pinch just don't light a match.

You would hold off buying a new truck, just to play guinea pig for a redesign in its first model year? You are very brave, OP!
