    What was the issue, was it the master cyl locking you up with hydraulic pressure or did the root cause wind up being something else ? ? ?

    Mechanic said the master cylinder wasn't holding pressure. They just finally got my wheels off after not having the key for the locked lug nut. The drums have been resurfaced so many times they are out of spec. Pads are messed up from that as well. They said the grease from my axle seal leak messed up the drum too so they are repairing both sides so it doesn't cause a problem later.

    Well the total price for all of that is just as much as Aaron and I added up for just the axle seal fix. It's a lot, but I'm getting a good deal and its getting fixed!

    The brake cylinders leaking brake fluid on the pads is what was causing them to stick and lock up, it's happened to me before. Pretty normal problem on high mileage vehicles with drum brakes.
