Spacer question

I have spidertrax spacers on all corners, what is the best way to torque the fronts without having someone hold their foot on the break and without turning that front corner?

shit I just put a screw driver in the rotor where it met the caliper...

 

What were you using a screw driver for?

 

Keeping the fronts from rotating when torquing the spacers down...

 

I put a 2x4 that was sitting in my garage from the seat to the brake peddle.

 

Oh, yeah I put a piece of firewood on the break pedal. Only other problem I have is when I torque the spacer nuts, it turns that hub, how can I keep it from turning?

 

Okay... The rotor has slots in it. Take a screw driver through the brake caliper bracket and into one of the slots. You're only torquing to like 80 ft/lbs right? It'll be fine, screw driver will bend first

 

I jacked up one side at a time and with the wood on the brake nothing moves.

 

But then I take a chance of having the screw driving come loose and go into my rotor like it did to you.

I was thinking about that, I will next time.

 

What? Your over thinking it. Never said the screw driver will break... Nor did I say it happened to me. And if it did and fell in the rotor you can turn it and it will fall out.
