That was in response to the Jamie Dorner incident (former LAPD officer that went on a shooting rampage targeting the cops). They had a report that he was in the neighborhood driving a Grey Nissan Titan looking for cops to gun down. These two ladies happened to be delivering papers that morning. They were driving slowly down the road near the house the cops were protecting. They assumed it was him and started shooting. If the back of the truck hadn't had a bunch of newspapers in it, they'd probably be dead. I think they got like a $4 Million settlement out of it.

 

Big difference here. That wall was their canvas thousands of years ago. Her canvas is not the rocks, as in modern times we have different canvas to use.

I can't really judge from the comfort of my computer screen. It's always easy in hind-sight. 5 am, so it was probably dark, it's a pickup, he's been reported in the area and the family they're protecting is on the hit-list. They said the sound of the papers hitting the pavement made them believe they were shooting Just a bad situation. I'm fortunate I don't have to deal with on-the-spot life-and-death decisions like that.
