I wouldn't call him a noob. More like a random who's just trying to pedal his FS website without the decency of creating his own thread.

So according to my ultra gauge I'm getting 22.3 mpg on average, which I wish is true but is definitely not the case. How do i calibrate it correctly?

I have been watching posts about UG and how to calibrate it, how it calculates, etc. Thought I'd go to the source.

    http://www.ultra-gauge.com/customer_support/knowledgebase.php?article=15

Note it states error bars as big as +- 13%.

There is a download on there site and it tells you how. You pretty much drive 3 miles at +55 and then tell the ultraguage you drove 3 miles so then it accurately records distance. Go to there site.

Mine says 21.7 but I usually get 18-19 when I divide miles by gallons used when I fill up.

Welp it looks like i should do ball joints, any major reason why i shouldn't go aftermarket? (Moog or similar? ) aftermarket ones were fine on my 5lug but after seeing pictures of some of the failures on 6lug trucks...

As I didn't take pictures during the install of the 7th Inj, I went out and snapped one after the fact:

Maybe this weekend I'll crawl back up in the engine compartment and snap one of the actual injector.

I calibrated my UG and it is dead on accurate as far as mpg, trip and mph. I have checked it against Fuely and the pencil for mpg and 3 different GPS units for mph and trip.

When calibrating miles driven, I drove on the loop here for 15 miles and then double checked it on the return trip to verify.

It is too damn easy to get to redline when you have a manual. ;)
