No tuning yet, stock URD map.

Before the 7th Inj was getting ping after the engine had been running for awhile and I stomped on the gas.

After the 7th Inj, no pinging that I've heard but I have a CEL. Pulling the code tomorrow and hoping it is a P0171 (lean mix) as I think the fix will be the URD fuel pump.

I live at 5k feet MSL and running 91 octane, btw.

Elevation might be a factor but personally I wouldn't bother with higher octane gas in a smog motor, todays compression in engines are geared/tuned to EPA & local state requirements, last "high compression" motor I had was a 455 out of a 71' GrandVille 10.5:1 & it had to have higher octane for pinging

You're supposed to run 91 octane only on boosted motors. Or higher.

Took it down to the topper place to have them reinstall it properly this time. First time with the lift and no topper on... figured it's a great time to picture wh0re.

Also realized I dislike the stock tail lights even more. Would love a pair of those Spyder Euro ones (black). I think that would complete the look of the truck. But no way I'm spending $200+ on tail lights. Not yet at least.

Yar. That be the next to-do. From what I've read, the stock pump has problems up at redline, doing fine in the lower RPMs. A couple of the locals run it without, as the AT doesn't let them near redline and they've experienced no issues with fuel supply. For now, I just watch the RPMs, making sure I shift before 3k, although seems fine up to 4k.

I've never gotten a code from it knocking . I mean its not like it always pings, but if it does, I won't throw a code or anything. Is it supposed to?

The knock sensor only senses above 2500 rpm from my understanding.

Will fit pretty nicely behind the rear glass, above the rear wheels, in what some kids these days like to call the "bed". Uhhh, have to do a smidge of modding to get it to work though.

It's true, stock pump doesn't have enough flow once the 7th opens up. Factory fuel pressure is 43.5 PSI. If you have the FPR hooked up to the boost port of the supercharger (and u should) then assuming you are boosting 8 psi over atmospheric pressure, then fuel pressure should be around 51.5. Problem is...factory fuel pump can't keep up with anything more than 50 psi. Why would you risk it for a $100 part?

P0330 is knock sensor fault code...as in the sensor or wiring is bad.
P0326 is normally the code you'd throw for spark knock. If you barely make it ping, it may just throw it under pending codes and not actually turn on the CEL. Least that was what happened on my truck before I got the URD 7th injector kit.

Because that's the situation I have on my hands until I can get more time to install the pump that is sitting out in the garage waiting to be installed. It isn't so much a matter of cost, more of time.

I'm not sure where the 8psi number comes in. I thought the stock pulley was around 7 psi.

I couldn't remember stock pulley boost and guessed. I boost over 9 with the 2.2 at sea level. Regardless...substract 1 from my previous number...and that's still over 50 psi.

As for the time vs cost...there's a reason the instructions say to install the fuel pump first. ;)

I was dealing with a bunch of pinging with the stock S/C and based on the work that BigFishAllDay had done, went with the injector first. I am where I am. Hope to get to finishing it out soon. Just going to have to take it easy and hope it holds together until then.

If I'm already in there doing new rotors and wheel bearings, how hard (and expensive) is it to do the Tundra brake mod off the top of your head?

I seem to recall it runs around $450 for the Tundra brake setup. That is with Napa calipers and Toyota rotors and pads.
