    Good to know!

There was a thread about it a while ago. Even ruff stuff was unsure it would fit the Tacoma axle. Was designed for the pretaco 8"

It fits, but it's designed for the mini axle (pre-tacoma) so it won't run full length and it'll take a little grinder love to fit. IIRC the mini's are a 58" wms. So if you're planning on putting it on a first gen housing (60" wms) it should be fine, but you're still going to have to notch it for u bolts. If you're a second gen (65" wms)..probably not so much.

Honestly I think you guys are better off with Relentless's truss, especially if you're going to weld it yourself. The weld lines are 180* opposed so there's no need to preload the axle or weld it in a jig to prevent warping.

    Obligatory pix:

My axle was the guinea pig 2 years ago. I think Krish got one recently as well.

That looks sexy! But did you had to relocate the fill plug?

Yeah but that was super easy. Picked up a fill kit with a bung and cap from summit for like $20. Fill plug is on top of the diff now. Quick drill with the hole saw, weld, and done. Welded the old plug closed to ensure it never backs off.

I love that truss kit. Might do that to the tundra axle later down the road. You ditched the e-brake correct?

Nope. Initially it was only hooked to one side. Earlier this year I made a bastard e-brake setup with a tundra cable and tacoma cable and random shit in my garage. Works great:

It is normally open. When the diff is locked, the light comes on.

Ok got a pic request and I figured the LT guys are only ones that might have what I'm looking for.

Does anyone have a pic of a 1st gen with 6.5" fenders/bedsides before their LT kit was installed? I have searched build threads and googled everything I can think of with no luck.

Also looking around I have seen glassworks 6.5" fenders/bedsides and McNeil racing 6.5" fenders/bedsides are there any others out there? I'm not looking for the trophy truck look either I like the ones that keep the stock body lines. (I actually emailed McNeil about 2 weeks ago with questions and never heard back, anyone ever deal with them? is this the norm or should I try again)
