The road number is on the way to Vance creek (2nd highest railroad bridge in america, so sketchy to walk out on but so much fun, its a must!), look up directions to that and there is a fs road before Vance creek that has a sign that says "high steel bridge x miles"

I was there in very late June, when did they do it? You can walk to it but depends where they blocked it off.

The walk literally took me 7 maybe 10 minutes down a flat road with one big ditch you need to go down and up.

There are 2 entrances to get to it, one is on private property one is right off a fs road. I went on the non private property one and Im not sure exactly how they can block it, so many ways to get through the trees where ever they would put a blockade.

Beavis, the railroad ties on the bridge have about a 6-8 inch gap between each of them, toward the far side someone set a fire on it and some are burnt out and you have to step over those, honestly one of the coolest things I have ever done, next on my list is the stairway to heaven in hawaii :D

Ok, maybe I'm wrong. I just remembered seeing that article somewhere a little while back and wishing I could've checked it out before it closed.

haha c'mon Beavis, the scary thing is that people have gone out on those pieces of metal that stick out off the bridge and hung shoes and socks..

Honestly I am curious why they haven't shut it down yet since it is so easy to slip and fall off. I remember hanging my feet over the edge and start to get dizzy from looking down, 347 feet down.

We used to party and camp at this bridge in high school, it's way less scary when your drunk, lol
Lots of good memories around that area, it's been years since I've been there.

Yes sir, I walked out on one of the steel cross beams once, not a real bright move. Back then there was a local that would rig you to bungee from the steel bridge for $100

When I went there, there were shoes hanging from those steel beams on the very edge and I just thought who the hell would go out on those haha I haven't gone bungee jumping yet but I want to.
