Did my first oil change and filter in the Tacoma, and installed fog lamps and relay. Still waiting for the switch to come in, which should be in the next week or so.

Just turned 50k on my 2012 and done with dealer maint.

From now on it's local shop that specializes in Toyota, and related. My dealer basically was a oil change, tire rotation shop and prep for new. I had issues with front end locking up from a stop, they had it several times but no code, no problem. They even invalidated warranty as I had modified the suspension.

Moved a, heavier than I thought it would be, elliptical machine from the in-laws to our house. Got pulled over for speeding 51 in a 30, in front of the in-laws house...oops:eek: Got off with a warning luckily:eek:...and posed for a flex shot before I left.294375a2a143c5d55d97b88299de80b8_46b316bb36c65240362add0fbb13aa511db5f344.jpg

That would have been my first ticket in twenty some odd years. Maybe that's why he let me off. ;) or maybe he felt bad cause my father in-law was watching the festivities from his driveway!

It just flips back and forth by pivoting on the mount points on each side. It does not open up but it is removable. The straps have buckles that click into the tail gate locks on each side to keep it in place when driving around with it extended. Once my ARE tonneau cover goes on, then it will be secured.

I added organizers to my glove box and a console vault to the center console. Organization is paramount.

Last Monday after starting the truck in the morning, it had a rough idle for a few seconds then it was fine. This happened the next couple of days and at one point the check eng. light flashed a few times. After doing a little research I figured I'd start with the cheap fixes first and rule those out. My plan was to clean the MAF, throttle body, and replace spark plugs.
I have 178k miles on the truck, 135k of those miles I put on myself. Since I have own it I have never cleaned the MAF or throttle body. I had a dealer replace my plugs at 100k miles.
This is what I found after replacing and cleaning everything. Needless to say, after it was all said and done the yoda runs super smooth!

Thanks to the DIY contributors who wrote up the step by step for throttle body cleaning and changing out spark plugs. Couldn't have done it without you.

Finished installing my Rigid's lower valence bracket (thanks Colt and Vivid illumination!) and Avec's light bar..That rigid bracket is no where near bolt on. I had to shave the mounting hole on the bracket a little bit and make the mounting hole for the lightbar a bit bigger, since it was made for Rigid's SR lightbar and not a double row. Then I had to shave a bit of welds on my crash beam. Still happy how it turned out :D
