I just got a set last week (315/70/17) and love them. I had the Mickey Thompson MTZ before and these are a lot better in many ways. I was surprised how quiet they are and it is nice to finally be able to hear myself think in my truck. They are also very smooth. Great ride with great looks. I did not want to give up the aggressive look of an MT so this is a great compromise

So... I cancelled my order through Mavis closest to me who was giving me a bunch of BS about extra for shipping and it will take a month... Blah blah blah this was also after I had called them twice and gone into the store...

Just ordered them and received a confirmation call stating they will be here the 30th... They matched the price at $189/tire mounted and balanced. So one more week of waiting :annoyed:

I know! I also need an alignment and I'm waiting to get my tires on. My BFG's are pretty much slicks right now and we're getting rain for the next 3 days...
The smallest amount of water on the road and I'm all over

The STT's are also a great tire, but the maxx Are allot quieter than the STT, on the road, both wil work great aired down nd on rocks, if ya go to YouTube you can find good videos of the st maxx in action esp on Cooper australia channel, http://youtu.be/apDHC-Ha514 you can't go wrong with either one... Just depends on what you like better...

Yeah my trucks barely getting used... maybe 200 miles a month right now. So they only time it will be used is on rocks or dirt. I have the STTs now and they're great....just need new tires and debating on getting another set or trying the St maxx. They're the same price for 35s...so idk yet.

STT is a Mud terrain tire, not sure how it fairs on day to day street driving. But both tires do have the Armor-Tek3 technology

I have the STTs now and they do pretty good on the road every day. Just need to keep them balanced and rotated. The sidewalls are pretty darn strong, I have 4 deep slices on one of the sidewalls and it's held up like that for 3k plus miles so far.

So far I haven't tried my ST Maxx's in deep sand or deep snow, but everything else I've thrown at them they have been great.
