In reality, I haven't made my sliders because I'm too lazy to weld up my hydraulic tube bender. I quit modding my truck so it's not a high priority.

Had a great day wheeling, push the truck, sliders and skids hard. Truck did great but I did dent and crease my gas tank.

What code is it throwing? Is it a knock sensor code, maybe in "limp mode"?

The whole thing looked sketchy to me. It rides on the bump stops.

It throws the P0330. If the cel comes on it will go into limp mode. As soon as I reset it, everything is back to normal. There's just nothing left after 70 mph. Climbing hills was embarrassing.

As humans, we have this strange ability to jump over things :p

Seriously though, they don't get in the way that much. A lot better than a door that won't open.

How do you jump over a slider? It's basically an extension outward of the floorboard. There's nowhere to jump to without looking retarded. I'm too tall to use a slider as a step, so I always ended up kicking them with my foot as I got in. I'm just riding the gravy train as long as I can before I put sliders on.

So don't make the sliders obnoxiously extended. You can tuck them and still be perfectly functional:
