Going from 3' to 6'

dont forget you'll have to regear w/ 35in tires or your gonna have significant power loss. IMO 6in lifts are lame on tacomas

 

no need to regear with 35s my truck feels fine its a hand full to drive in the rain with 35s and i still pass people on the highway and probably faster than your truck

 

hahaha, exactly the personality type of a guy w/ a 6" lift. always gotta make up for the lack of....something. and yeah, prob is faster because the 2nd gens have bigger engines than the 1st gens. not rocket science their pal

 

bigger motor bigger tires no problem i dont think i would go 6inch on a 1st gen my buddys little sister has one and the power on it sucks i think shes only running 31s too

 

how many of you guys that are saying you need to re gear ridden in a 6inch lifted tacoma

if you really want a DB lift, get the RCD and then run the procomp or fabtech 6" coilovers. chyah!

But then you'd be altering the CV angles cranked up to 6", though half has much as cranking up a 3" set up. One thing I like about the 6" lift is it maintains factory angles. Supposidly the Procomp does maintain the factory angles but the fabtech gets them close (equivalent to a 1" crank up).
