Sorry man, this deal wants to be as frustrating as possible it seems. At least you have a private room now, that helps the frustration level a little. I'm gonna agree with Glenn and Ken, stay as long as necessary to get it right now. Getting down the recovery road a few weeks, and then finding out they gotta go back in would make those few weeks a waste.

Buddy, you're in my thoughts and prayers daily. Hang in there, you can do this.

    Take care of yourself.

And can't agree with you more. The USA has gone downhill fast. More so in the last 6 yrs.:oldglory:

Damn Charlie seems like you can't catch a break(other than having a private room now). I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts on a good resolve to the problems you are facing. Maybe I should come up and show the doc's how a mechanic would fix it:eek:....I always told people the difference between a doctor and a mechanic is a doctor buries his mistake where if a mechanic makes a mistake it could impact many lives...:(...and we make a lot less money then they do:rolleyes:
Keep the faith and hang in there Charlie:thumbsup:

    You notice that too!
Me thinks we are on a slow and steady decline! :(

    X2!

Had a fun night last night. Managed to land 14 walleyes and 8 stripers:woot: Had about a dozen other fish hooked that got off, and probably 20 or more other hits that didn't get hooked.

Hang in there Charlie, sorry to hear about the need for another surgery but it sounds like you really don't have a choice. We'll keep the positive thoughts flowing.

Hearing about John's woman problems reminded me of me two women I know, one from high school and the other a relative. Neither of them has any luck picking men, and both have plenty of baggage to carry from the rotten bums they were with in the past. It can really be a burden.

We went to a Halloween party last night at a place some friends are fixing up. Huge old stone farmhouse. To get there we drive on twisty little lanes for a while, then turn down a one-lane dirt road for about a mile, then turn off onto what looks like a rutted deer track; go another 1/4 mile and darn if there isn't a house there. Spooky! Great place for a Halloween party! This year they actually had electricity.

The earlier part of my day was not so good. Tried to recover the password on my dad's laptop, no luck. Came home to finish cutting up the tree we felled the day before, starter rope broke on the chainsaw. Spent 3 hours fixing that including a run to the store and an online search to figure how the heck to do it - Stihl "Easy pull" is actually easy to pull, but replacing the cord is a nightmare! Finally got it fixed, started the saw, and something didn't seem right. Turns out a part had come off at the drive clutch. :frusty::notsure::angrygirl: I suppose it's out there on the ground somewhere, but I didn't find it. Confounded machine.

Today is muck the pond day, then a bonfire/hayride at a neighbor's place. Assuming something else doesn't break!

Sounds like a great party was had by you:yes:...didn't happen to see a guy without a head riding a horse did you:eek:....area seems about right for that:laughing:...
Lost parts or extra parts have always been an issue:eek:. It's always the smallest part that gets lost and the oddest looking part  that gets left over. Easy projects turn into major projects somedays:eek:.
Have fun mucking the pond:D...Enjoy the hayride and bonfire.

Well sprayed the frame in the jeep.
    Oil change
    Replace plugs.
    Check the tires.
    I'll tell ya,
I've always been a champion plug guy.
Jeep takes NGK plugs but I figured I'd throw a set of champs in.
    There in but never again.
The quality is not like it use to be. The NGK plugs are much superior to them now.
    Threads are ruff.
Electrode bends much easier than they use to.
I'll leave them in for now but may change them in the spring.
So I guess officially I'm ready for winter.
Started up the el cheepo gen a few weeks ago.
Still thinking of spraying some FF on the tractor blower.
The last thing to do is ride the bike to the big garage and store it for the winter. Might put a new set of bars on it during sleepy season.
Just came back from a bike ride. Getting chilly.
Going to chill for a while before maybe heading to the shop and working on the Vette. I'm tired but can't sit still today. I must be an idiot...

Let's hope they get it straightened away tomorrow. on the private room, they can make a miserable stay a lot less miserable.
My mistake was taking it too far apart. The trick is to wind the cord around the pulley in place, without taking the pulley out of the housing. I didn't know that then but I do now; I took the pulley out of the housing, and the spring under it went BOING and flew across the room. Took me 2 hours and half a dozen tries to wrap it back up and get it back in. That having been said, now that I've done it once the next time will be much easier. And I have to admit I do love the easy pull feature.

As to why the other part came off, that could have been my fault too from an earlier chain change. I didn't get it on quite right and it may have damaged the cap that holds the clutch housing on. It just really sucked to have them both happen one after the other.

I really should get some but I don't know how they'd feel about it. It's a secluded spot and they like it that way. I might be able to rustle up some pics of the costumes though. One couple came in with Ebola, that was pretty funny.
What he said. This is a good tool, it just has a POS starter cord. The new one was a different color, I'm hoping it lasts much longer than the first one.

My last chain saw was a Homelite from Sam's Club. Plastic everything. Ran through a lot of trees with that cheap saw, never serviced it beyond turning the bar over and sharpening the blade. The primer bulb fell off, I put it back on with a tie wrap and used it for another 2 years. The bar finally wore out so I decided to get a new one. Maybe I should have stuck with cheap and simple!

    ^^ :drool::drool: ^^

Wife made "finger food" for the party last night. Break mozarella sticks in half, dip the broken end in cocktail sauce, stick an almond slice on the other end so it looks like a fingernail. I know, I know, pics or GTFO. But we ate them all! :p:p

Two of us caught 14 more walleyes, and kept the 6 pictured. The young guy also caught another 45" Musky.
    THE PROOF! :D
The 46" Musky, the 45" musky, and the walleyes.
