    FWIW ... I found a place to buy and get your metal precut and their customer service is unbelievable.

    Ordered the (custom cut) aluminum angle today at 1300 hours and it was shipped at 1615 hours today and I will have it UPS 2nd day this Friday.

    PS ... Tacoma tailgate fabrication would cost a fortune from them though ... :D

    FYI ... Link to them --> http://www.cut2sizemetals.com/

    Nah I get all my materials and cutting done right here in town.
    Easier and probably cheaper that way, and I have the ability to walk right in and talk to the cutter.

    Great job on the tailgate!

    We mentioned the lack of support under the flimsy plastic cover, in another post before; and some people questioned it. With your pics of the plastic cover removed; they can see, what a pices of shxt the tailgate really is.

    I load bikes and ATV's also; and with the plastic off, they can see, there is hardly anything there, for support..

    I remember some guy was saying the tailgate it just fine; it holds his lawnmower. Oh wow,

    Anyway, that is an excellent job, you have done.

    Without the lip on top and those bends the sheet of metal would be almost useless.

    I have one of the tailgates I was going to use that I bought 2 years ago. I ended up buying a Jeep Rubicon and never used the tailgate so if anyone is interested its available in Sacramento. Jared 530-300-0040
