    Norton...

    I have tweaked the instructions..

    1. Begin with the key out of the ignition.
** Make sure all doors and trunk are closed(NOT LOCKED)**
    2. OPEN the DRIVER'S door.
    3. Within 5 seconds INSERT the key into the ignition and PULL it out TWICE.
    4. CLOSE then OPEN the DRIVER's side door TWICE.
    5. Insert key INTO the ignition then REMOVE it.
    6. CLOSE then OPEN the DRIVER's side door TWICE.
    7. Insert the key INTO the ignition and LEAVE it in ignition.
    8. CLOSE the DRIVER's side door.
    9. Switch the ignition to ON then OFF.
    10. REMOVE the key from ignition.
    11. The door locks will now cycle to confirm the vehicle has successfully entered programming mode.

A bit bummed I couldn't make it up to OPs shop before he went to the dealer to verify it works, but the price is worth it to not have to deal with multiple things flopping off the keychain. I just bought one after a very quick response from the seller on eBay that the battery (CR2032) is included.

Does this supersede the normal RS3000 programming method? The RS3000 has a "program" button located deep within the lower left portion of drivers side dash.

Where are y'all ordering them from? I see the ebay store for the fobs, but I'm not seeing where to get the key/fob combo.

    Thanks

this key and instructions are for the RS3200. I was just under my dash and did not see any program button on the unit.

His remote is for the black version of the RS3000 units. I have the grey.

See above. It will work with either the great or black. Unless I'm reading everything in this thread totally wrong.....

Well, it seems I'm an idiot. I have FCC ID -022. Hence, no worky. I read all wrong. Great idea and I wish it could be programed to work with mine but it can't. I'll be putting mine in the FS section now.

Not an idiot - you're partially right. The xxx-056 is a replacement to the xxx-022 remote. But if you have black xxx-022 remote, you need to get the corresponding black xxx-056. Likewise, the grey xxx-056 must replace the grey xxx-022 remotes.

I have documentation somewhere about the frequency difference between the two, but I don't know where I saved it.
