Thanks! Pretty simple, i think there are a couple diy's on the forum. But basically, took the grill off, scuffed, prime, paint, clear, wet sand, and then rubbing compound. In that order.

The paint is duplicolors perfect match paint. Total cost was maybe 40 bucks.

This campaign actually makes me happy I haven't dropped the money for sliders yet. I was wondering that exact same thing if I'd managed to get some nice weld-on ones like I've wanted. Oh well, good excuse to wait some more. :D

You should plasti dip the lower valence black. I did and it looks so much better black instead of grey

Well, they're replacing the frame. I guess they'd have to replace anything else that breaks due to the rust.... :notsure: And I would "assume" busted brake lines would be covered under the campaign/warranty work since they broke them. Just not sure if they're going to try to bill me for things like that, if that will add more repair time, or if they won't get the after market bumpers back on the right way. Maybe they'll assume they broke my grill during the removal and replace that for free too. ;) hehehe

Either way, I have a free rental while they work on the strap, so same thing should happen for the frame.

 Yeah, it's a 2015. Lady said 2016, and it didn't occur to me until later that would be 2 model years out. lol I was still in shock about getting a whole new frame for free. :p I checked the key later and edited the post. ;)

Excuses to wait are never fun. I have plenty of those. I need to find some excused to take more trips and buy more gear. Those are harder to come by.

That's crazy that they are going to replace your whole frame. How long is that even going to take?

This is a good question yet I doubt they would be able to deny the coverage because of the magnuson moss warranty act. I will let everyone one know once they roll out the EOD in my area as I have completely cut out the cross member, drilled the frame and went flat belly, and cut off the rear shackle mounts. I'm sure I will get some hassle but I'm ready as mine for sure needs a frame replacement.

I'll see if I can find one. It looks really good. I really need to paint mine like yours. Plus I'm considering plasti dipping the toyota emblem.
