I have an 06 taco with the steering wheel controls for radio and cruise control. I was just wondering if it were possible to find and swap with the steering wheel that comes in the new taco's. ( looks nice and more like a wheel for a truck :D ) Just wondering if anyone else has thought about this and actually looked into it

I love the idea, but i'm sure i'd have to find one off a wrecked new truck that hasn't had the airbags deployed or it would probably cost alot from the dealer new =(. But i'm curious to know if the wiring harness is the same for the cruise switch and the radio harness connectors as well. I'd like to see some pics of what those would look like in the new taco's

if you are considering getting the 2012 steering wheel, make sure the airbag itself wasn't changed. You could lose your aibags totally if the newer airbag was updated.

Did you only have to do the wheel, were you able to change airbags?
