x2 I bought a Sig Mosquito for this very purpose. I tried to get my friend and his girl to go shooting with me and my girl. He said she was terrified of shooting, he took her once and couldn't get her to go again. I asked him what she shot and he replied, my G27  I would also explain to her that her Grandfather could have also jumped off a building, hung his self, slit his wrist etc... and that the gun was just the tool that he chose.

For sure, just a tool. Just something you can't un-see, in her case. I'm not really looking to get her into going shooting with me, I just want her to be comfortable with it around at home and when we camp. Don't really need her to want to shoot it, just want her to trust me with it around. Also, this is my first personal gun, and don't have a smaller gun (or the budget) to start off small and get here. Just getting the ol' 12g and calling it a day, haha.

The soda cans, 2 litres and watermelons sound like a good start if she is around and wants to see it in action.

Would work, I would still reccomend a .22 for the recoil, around here I can get old single
Shot .22s for 100 or so fairly easily

Just got 1k rounds of Federal 5.56mm XM193 for $339 shipped. Going to see how it looks and most likely get another few thousand rounds of it. Price seems pretty good. I know it's coming back down a little, but in the long run, it's only gonna go up.

Bought another bucket of wheel weights today to melt down and cast my own bullets. Bucket weighed in excess of 300lbs. Paid $15 bucks. I can load 1000 45acp for less than $50. I don't count my time in as this has turned into a hobby I enjoy and keeps me sane haha.

I won't even run lead ammo through my 22's.

I don't mind it. You can powder coat and run it at jacketed speeds. This will be for target mostly. Lead done correctly won't lead the barrel too bad.

    Do it.
I've got one more person that has to sign the trust and get it back to me before I can send in a form 4 for my 300 BLK SBR.
I'd like to do another form 4 to build a suppressor for my 300 BLK and 556, but I may wait until I'm 21 and just buy one if I don't have the time or resources to build one.

Picked up a new grip from xtech Tactical last week from Rainier. Just released last week. The grip is adjustable in three positions. Very versatile. Came in today, liked it enough to order two more.
