Glad to hear you sounding positive about all your surgeries Charlie. and positive thoughts heading your way for a pain free week and a safe trip home soon. Hope you don't have anymore issues with your back. You are blessed to have friends like John and Paul. Hats off and a big salute to them both. Rest up and get well.

Sometimes, no matter the adversity, you laugh it off. Other times you just want to smack some idiot. The sun is just up, it is light enough to see, the deer are feeding in the yard and the dog is asleep by the wood stove. For now, all seems right in the world. At least in my world.

Welcome back to the old fart thread Charlie! Since you still recognize a '62 Vette I'm going to assume they didn't do anything to your brain while you were under. It's great to hear that your pain level is down, and that you have an appetite. Both sound like good signs to me!

Chain saw went back together very easily and had a 1-hour workout yesterday afternoon. I think it's good to go for the time being. Now I need to find a better way to sharpen chains.

 

Drugs or not Charlie, from that first paragraph, your brain is working on time.

Long hard Winter of recovery ahead for you, but one day at a time and you'll be fishing come Spring. Hang in there buddy ... you got a bunch of folks pulling for you.

I use a hand file now, no depth gauge though - I just clamp the bottom edge in a vise, file the teeth, move the chain, repeat. I carry a spare chain so never needed to sharpen in the field.

Almost makes me want to break something so I can spend some time with her too.

 

When my chain gets dull I replace it.

Morning All...Week is half way through...plenty of positive thoughts and prayers for Charlie that he is well enough to go home on Friday. Just glad to hear he is feeling better and in good hands. Have a good day all.

 

Sorry to hear about the pain, there must be a person with some brains there that can give you something stronger than 5 mg percoset. Hope they can get your pain level down and make you more comfortable...when does Samantha come on duty? you need something to take your mind off the pain. Hang in there my friend and lets hope they can take care of you. How is the missus holding up with the trips to the hospital and at home. With your support group of friends she is probably doing okay but needs you home. Take care and don't go taking no swings at anyone cause we need you healthy.

 

Sorry to hear about the pain Charlie. Hopefully by now it's shift change and someone worthwhile has shown up. Thoughts and prayers you're getting some relief from the pain.
