I've been pretty busy today. I picked up my toolbox and bed basket, made by TW member Mreimann, from powder coating. Had both items powder coated in a flat black. Then mounted my axe and shovel to it with some quick fists I got off of Amazon.

I then installed a retractable iphone 5 charging cable inside the little cubby to the right of the steering wheel. I wired it to be a constant hot so I could charge my phone without the keys in the ignition. It also makes it nice to have it charge and not be hooked to the radio through the other USB port.

Just installed my Gibson exhaust. Sounds great, but louder than what I've read on this forum. There is a slight drone in the cabin, but it's not bad at all. I'm sure it will mellow out once I get some mileage on it. Overall I'm very happy with it and not to mention the quality is great!

Don't want to notch them for the cable to run through it and didn't want to remove the whole piece for one little wire, it's totally out of the way and the cord keeper isn't really visible anyway, except for at the level the picture was taken at. No modifications and easy removal. All you seat from the drivers POV is the cord running across the lower dash, then it disappears from view down to the OBD port and is tucked behind the kick panel.

I'm trying to save for the SC, but I keep seeing all this cool stuff! I need to get a sPod so I can get the other lights I have all planned installed nice and clean.

I've got to find a new spot for mine. I had it here with Velcro. Then I used the blanks. I can't put it where yours is because mu clutch cancel switch is there. I'll probably mount it above the mirror using a bicycle reflector mount. I forgot I had it until I saw your post.

    Nice switches.

I like that spot, and I made the mount from what I hand on hand so that limited my options. Much prefer it there down low (still fully visible to me in drivers seat) for security reasons, too. Better still, no cable to really run since it's not visible from seating positions, just the view from the floorboard. Easy peasy, and no yanking off interior panels! :woot:

Toyota tops Consumer Reports reliability rankings

    10/27/14:

Toyota vehicles were also the most highly recommended in 10 of the 18 model categories, including hybrids (the Lexus CT 200h), compact cars (the Scion xB), midsize SUVs (the Toyota Highlander) and small and large pickup trucks (the Toyota Tacoma and Toyota Tundra).

Makes me wonder how bad the rest were...

My 07 Rav4 burned oil. That fouled the cat throwing a check engine light. The CEL turned off CC, VSC, and 4WD. Four wheel drive being the whole reason we bought the damn car as we live in snow country! Who the fuck engineers a vehicle to shut off 4WD and traction control over a damn emissions code?!

My mother's 12 Rav4 is under investigation by Toyota and her insurance company as to why it caught fire in a front-end collision so minor the airbags didn't deploy.

My co-workers 12 Rav4 did the same shit with turning off VSC, 4WD, and CC with a cel caused by a bad coil pack so obviously the engineers haven't fixed that.

And thus the reason we traded the Rav for a Pathfinder with selectable 4WD like the truck. I guess Toyota (or others) don't consider randomly losing 4WD and traction control on snowy/icy roads to be a safety issue. :notsure:
