I'm looking to get a synthetic winch line for my Smittybilt xrc8. What diameter and length do I want to look for? I guess I also need an aluminum hawse fairlead. Anyone know of a good deal?

Amsteel blue is what I'd go with unless you want to splurge. 5/16 100'

Or at least that was the cheapest high quality synthetic winch rope the last I looked. Maybe do some googling but viking and masterpull are out of their damn minds and everything else was cheap junk.

If anyone is thinking about buying fiberglass anything soon - I plan on getting McNeil bedsides in the next few weeks, and shipping is expensive...so we could combine orders and cut down on that shipping cost. Going to order from Samco Fabrication in Sparks. Let me know...

Had never been to his shop till about a month ago - it's fuckin awesome. He had 3 trophy trucks, a LT Hummer H1, and 2 Jeeps with LS1 engine swaps, among other things...

I have a body/paint shop in CA. I'd offer to do yours, but we don't really do outside work - it's just for painting our own trucks. And they're so backed up right now I'll be lucky to get mine done! Sorry.
I haven't used any paint shops in Reno, so can't make a recommendation. I would just look at reviews on Google?

That sucks, I'd come over the hill and have it painted for sure if the price was right!

I got a couple bids. Coach craft wanted $1,300  I just about pee'd myself laughing so hard.

Spray craft said they would do $350, if I did the prep. I already started patchwork and figured what's a little sanding too.

I was hoping for something in the 200-250 range if I did all the prep myself.

Hi guys! My in laws live in Carson City, I'll be up there for thanksgiving. I've wheeled around Goni Road and Washoe Lake in the past, and would love to get out again. Anyone wanna join me? I'd be down to go anywhere relatively close to Carson. Only deal is it'll have to be thanksgiving morning. We're coming in Wednesday afternoon and leaving Friday morning.

Let me know where you end up going and the bang for the buck. I'm looking to paint my 84, I don't need it bling bling but I also don't want a complete hack job.

Bummer, I'm outta town for T-day :pout: I'd rather be wheelin :D
