I have a 2013, 4cyl, single cab Tacoma and I got in an accident this morning. Hurt the other car a lot more than my Tacoma. The air bags didn't go off in my truck but the airbag light came on. Being safety cautious I want to get it looked at and most likely replaced. I haven't had any luck finding prices for a new system though. Can anyone help me out?

I would get the air bag light scanned before you start replacing random things. There are a few different sensors that would trigger a air bag light to come on.

That's the type of job I'd give to a body shop.

Yeah don't make a thousand dollar mistake. The air bag is likely perfect. The impact just screwed a sensor up. Get the mechanics to scan the system.

Definitely going to have a professional handle it. I just want to have an idea of how much it will be costing me.

satoshi mod, sliders, tinted tails/3rd brake, 3" lift,
its common. i work at a bodyshop that fixes tons of lexus and toyota. airbag lights come on from minor impact just need to reset the light. if the seatbelts and bags didnt blow its fine.

we have a scanner and reset them in house but i think the dealer charges like 125 or so here in canada.

If the other driver was at fault let their insurance cover the damage. If you are at fault let your insurance cover the damage.

At worst you will pay your deductible if it was your fault. But then again your insurance would probably go up...

Or take it to the dealer if it is under warranty and play dumb wondering why the airbag light would come on.
