October wheeling trip

Regardless, I doubt anyone here wheels hard enough to justify LCA skids. OEM's are pretty robust

 

I don't see how putting a thick piece of gusseted steel in front of the tabs would not keep a rock from slamming up and bending the tabs? Unless I'm just missing something.

I figure I can justify the extra $40 for lca skids compared to the cam tab gussets, for some protection that may or may not be needed one day.

 

That's what happens. The skids just fold into the gusset, which means you have to fold them back out. Just don't run your LCA's into rocks and you'll be fine.

 

Makes sense, wouldve helped to have a spotter who wasn't hauling ass everywhere on his 4-wheeler might just makes my own gussets and get the skids, just cause I like to spend money.

 

If you're hitting them dead on, you need to pick better lines.

I wheeled hard 3 years with factory skid and never messed anything up.

 

Mostly hitting the back end of the skid. Probably wouldn't have damaged the LCA...but they look damn good.

 

All bout that trail bling.

 

Cam tabs are now gusseted with a homeade brew of sorts, hell of alot cheaper than TC tab gussets and almost identical.

On another note, reverse trail run in Decemeber...happening??

 

I havent discussed it with the boss (I know my place), but the 1st weekend in December is all I can do and that's in limbo at the moment. 2nd weekend is the Wheelers 4 Wishes event that I'd like to make this year.

 

Looks like the first weekend is the only open weekend for me as well (pending last minute work bs).

 

1st weekend is the only one open for me too now that I looked at my calendar again. Maybe a January trip will be in order.

 

So I'm hearing first weekend in December...I think I can make that.

 

That's what it sounds like. I need to get on it and get a few of these mods off the shelf and onto the truck.

 

You can also help me wire up those lights.

 

As long as you help me install the new cameras, 886 coils, hid spots, body lift, body mount bushing kit, and the flat bed.

 

I can bring beer and supervise?

 

I'll give you a shout this weekend. I could use a hand with the flat bed.

 

What HID spot lights? I won a couple at the raffle. I just might keep them. Procomp 4".
