Not really I got 20.5 today....average tank for me is 15-17 city and 17-21 highway. I've got 265/65/17s though.

    That's what I get without a supercharger...on 315/70/17s
I'll be installing one soon and expect the same if not worse mileage lol

I wonder what the issue is then? The dealer put a tank of 87 in it I don't know if that would effect anything. It also could be the tune on it, they said the tune was put on by a local shop called Dark Customs.

You have to run premium....I'd say that this has a lot to do with it. Should be a factory reef lash I wouldn't trust any thing else.

The octane is definitely incorrect and far too low. I would at the minimum add octane boost to the tank and take it easy on the throttle. You may exp a bit of ping with the incorrect fuel.

In fact, I would call the dealership and ask them to fix the fuck up.

13MPG is about what I average. Thats with the A/C running, 6" Lift and 315/70/17 tires.. Plus a front bumper that has ZERO aerodynamic characteristics.

I could have sworn that according the manual you need to run at least 91 octane.. That's what I run.

Just looked again at the manual. Yup, 91 or higher octane. Pg 47 right at the top.

    Good luck OP!

With a SC the mpg should increase. However most people like the feel of the extra power and unnecessarily use that power so they end up with less MPG.

if the dealer put 87 in.. they are a bunch of fucktards.. and you need to have them fix that mistake. easy on the truck until you empty that tank.. then have them put the correct, 91, in..

also.. you will most likely see a drop.. its new.. the boost will win over self control.. trust me..

but.. if and when you can control it.. you can get decent gas mileage.. about the same as before the blower..

Some of these dealers, have never installed a TRD Supercharger. When I was purchasing my 2014, I went to about 3-4 different Toyota dealers initially. two out of three didn't know what the TRD Supercharger was, the dealer I actually inquired pricing with, actually had to call a guy over to the parts dept, to show the regular counter guy where to find the Supercharger in their catalog.

Knowing this, I wouldn't put it past the dealer to not know anything about something they offer, but never actually sell (And why would you buy from them anyway), I have found the dealer is almost $2K higher for the kit, than other sources posted on TW.

I didn't see any increase. I don't drive with a heavy foot. With the larger injectors and the software programmed from the dealer. Maybe for the manual trans guys..

With automatic transmission driving around town, I have have noticed that 2nd and 3rd gear hold the revs higher and longer. It's great for when you need to get on it, but becomes annoying at times. I find myself letting off the gas to get the overdrive to shift in..

Also around here hills play a roll in this big time.

    Hope I explained that right.

Called the pervious owner he is the service manager at the Toyota I bought it at and they built the truck as the dealerships demo truck. He gave me the tuners information so I contacted him and he said you can run 87 in it but once a month you need to put octane booster through the tank. I mean I believe him he builds pro racing trucks all day.

The dealer only has 87. They ran 89 in it for 41,000 miles and its just so solid and performs so well.

What the tuner was saying is the only way I'm going to see 15-16 city and 20-21 highway is with a soft foot and an addition of a intake and exhaust but right now its stock for both of those.

u will get better mileage as the engine breaks in and u will get better mileage as the blower's newness wear off and you keep ur foot out of boost.

I think your just overly excited about your badass rig and need to ease off the gas a little.

ur tires are larger than mine, but highway I get 21, in a headwind and I was passing rigs, and went to the track and raced a 370z and smoked him with ease.
