Plexi would work too. More expensive than sheet metal though. And yes the hot glue holds. You really are only using it to create a small seal and hold it in place. Once you put the deadener over it it own't move.

Can it be removed - yes. Cut off deadener, pull panel off. It's only hot glue so if you want heat gun it for a few seconds and it will slide right off.

Package 2 is $230 or so from Raam. That package give you enough deadener to cover the back wall twice, and all vertical walls and floor down with deadener, plus you get to cover it with Ensolite foam. I had left overs after I was done with my Tacoma.

I ended up ordered 2 of those package 2 for my civic since the trunk will be double layered. I'm also planning on doing the roof and pulling the dash out and doing back there. I should have enough leftovers to do 2-4 doors after that.

That's good to know less than 60 sq ft filled your truck. If I have 80 it'll be plenty for Sam's and my truck.

Thanks for the info and help! I appreciate it. I'll be doing the sheet metal too. Sounds easier.

Nice! And I don't blame you. I was going to go the Raammat when I was first going to deaden my previous car, but was short on funds, didn't know how much it would cover and saw a good deal.

Do yourself a favor and double layer the back wall.

If you are feeling froggy you could do one of the following:

Fiber glass the back wall, then put a layer of deadener over it.

    or

Bed line the back wall, then deaden.

Honestly anything you can think of to make that rear wall more rigid and stiff is good. That metal is pepsi can thin. I just went with 2 layers and I think it did a good job. My audio in my truck is pretty solid IMO.

Bed liner would go on metal then deadener on top of that. Not sure how well deadener would hold paint or bed liner.

The deadener mat would stick fine to the bed liner?

Just saw a White DCSB with a RTT @ 102nd Pl and McDowell Mountain Ranch turning left. Was it any of you guys? I live right up the road and was in the pyrite mica dcsb.

Badass truck. It had high clearance rear bumper and what looked like a lift on stock offroad wheels?
