I am sick of gurley and this stuff. He started this stuff his first year, was warned about it and continued to do it regardless of the consequences to him or the team.

Before anyone talks about foolish rules, its still a rule. He KNEW what he was doing and yet continued AFTER being warned not to. That shows total disregard. TOTAL.

I wouldn't be surprised if he never played another down at UGA - analyst have already said that this won't affect his stock, so why risk injury? And honestly, I wouldn't care if he never came back.

I don't think I said anything about covering for him the whole time I've talked about it. He broke a rule imposed by an institution. He signed his name and took money for it, which will be completely legal for him in a couple months. Yet he gets 40 hours community service? For what? He's already done the community a service by signing autographs. AND has to donate to a charity.

Crablegs broke a law imposed by...everyone in the nation. He took a product and didn't pay for it, which isn't legal no matter how old he is or what he does for a living.

 

Completely agree. The community service doesn't make sense. I don't know that the NCAA even has jurisdiction to force community service on a student athlete.
