I thought that was IT. Perez on deck and Gordon gets to third? Had to have been nerves to have 2 outfielders both screw up like that. I think it played in our favor that Bumgarner was throwing to Perez, Perez could've easily changed the game. He had a rough night (0-3) and a ball to his knee probably didn't help him, but he played great - except tonight. Giants are a good team, Royals are as well, but without Bumgarner's performance the series would have been a much different series, I think.

Some good ol' fashion Giant's torture. The middle of our line up really rose to the occasion; especially Sandoval. Affeldt played a big part, too. Honestly, this game could have gone either way.

    Torture it was!

Sandoval got it done, plain and simple. I'm sure we'll see him in a different uniform next year, but the sentimental side says it'd be nice to sign him and keep him with the team. He's definitely earned a big piece of what makes up our team.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
I don't think he's going anywhere. He started as a giant in the farms. I think he stays.

Pence is really the hero. Going 500 in the series? Unheard of. Had it not been for Bum, he would have won the mvp. Panik should have rookie of the year too.

    I agree!

Not sure about Pablo though, I think after this performance especially he'll have some pretty interested bidders. Would love to see him in uniform next spring though.

I hope he remains a Giant but ultimately it comes down to $$. The Giants organization is great at marketing its players ( Kung Fu Panda, The Freak, MadBum, etc...) and I believe that is what makes this team so special. They're not just big name players with big egos like in football.

I'm still a little bummed that Posey didn't have a great post season, considering he is the glue that keeps the team together.

If he does go anywhere, I just hope it's not to the Dodgers like Uribe and Wilson!

Surprised he didn't perform better at the plate, but I bet he is too. :D

Royals pitching staff was excellent, which makes the win all the more sweet. They really played great in the series, I hope it ignites that franchise for next season and we see more. Can't get enough GOOD baseball.

Great Game!! I really enjoyed this WS with these two teams. Although the Giants are not my favorite team (2nd favorite team), they certainly have great talent and a lot of my favorite players. It's just a good organization so good on them for winning a 3rd in so few years! The Royals....what a season. I've become a fan!

That error right at the end had me screaming at the tv. It was definitely a good game. I've really gotta give props to KC though. They kept it pretty close.
But MAD BUM!!! He definitely won it for us.

Hell of a series. As much as I dislike San Fran, but like Pence (wish he was still a Phillie) you have to give it to them, they are a hell of an organization. I think Bochy was borderline genius at times. Congrats to SF Giants.

My thoughts - I would have sent Gordon. I know with where the cutoff was and where he was he had potential to be out, but you gotta press the issue and put the pressure on the SS to make a throw. Especially with Perez coming up...all season, Royals fans have had to suffer through him having exactly NO plate discipline. Bumgarner threw him 6 straight balls, and he swung at 4 of them. That matchup was not going to end well. Put it on Gordon - either we tie it, or we go out guns blazing.

Sandoval and Pence won that series offensively, esepcially Game 7. And Bumgarner was unhittable. But the play that I think killed the Royals tonight was Panik's double play. That was one of the best defensive plays I've ever seen. Hosmer was out at first, no point in arguing. Just have to be in awe of that defense. But outside of Bumgarner, the Giants pitching was very hitable. Unfortunately, Bumgarner was available tonight, and he was amazing.

There's no excuses, it is what it is. The Giants went out and won the game when it mattered...and they should be proud in that. The Royals definitely didn't give it to them.

That Gordon triple had VERY good potential to be an inside the park home run.

Royals should be very proud, though. A lot of great talent on that team. I'm looking forward to watching them play next season.

Whats to dislike about the Giants? They aren't arrogant. They play hard. Good mix of veterans and home grown farm hands. Awesome stadium, great fans. Whats not to like?
