I keep both eyes open, but still use my dominant (left) eye for target acquisition/aiming.

My AR is the only weapon i own that I can shoot both eyes open but that's because of the red dot.
I could probably shoot a 1 power scope with both eyes open but I haven't had a chance to find out.

I'm not real clear on what you mean. I shove the gun out and if using a 2handed grip, I'm pushing the gun out with my dominant hand and locking down with my non dominant hand. It's weird to explain but my non dominant hand squeezes down on top of my dominant hand

I shoot with both eyes open on pistols

Both eyes open. Mostly when I'm shooting a pistol it's practicing with my CCW, so I'm more practicing draw-safety release-point-fire than pinpoint accuracy. So for that I'm both eyes open and focusing on the front sight lining up with center of mass.

I'm left-eye dominant and right handed, so it took a lot of practicing with a smear of vaseline on the left lense of my shooting glasses before I could acquire the sights on my guns properly with both eyes open. But now that I've got the hang of it I can shoot rifle or pistol, scoped or irons with both eyes open. Definitely worth the practice to be able to keep your depth perception and peripheral vision while you're shooting.

Sounds like more of an Isosceles grip, equal forces pushing together like making a hamburger patty.

With the weaver stance, the grip usually is a push/pull. The dominant hand will always be pushing out, while the non dominant hand is pulling the grip toward you.

When I'm aiming at targets or something specific I use one eye. I would like to start being able to draw and fire fairly quickly with accuracy with both eyes open. Be like Instructor Zero, lol. Just gotta get out more and practice. There's plenty of open desert out here to practice things like that instead of being limited within a gun range

I try to keep both eyes open and I'm getting better at it but, if I want accuracy, I have to use my dominant eye only.

If you shoot with both eyes open, or just one eye, you are still using your dominant eye down the sights.

i'm right handed..my dom eye is my left. so shooting a pistol i use both eyes and kinda tilt my left eye front and forward. goofy, but it works for me. been doing this since i was eleven. rifle with scope..non issue. right eye.

    archery..oh lord, i am a mess..left eye slammed shut.

your dominant eye runs the show..shoot both eyes open if you can.

Agreed, but I have trouble with accuracy when shooting both eyes open. When I only use my dominant eye, I'm pretty well on target. Both eyes, I'm still usually on paper but definitely not the same tight groups.
