    NOPE! your going to need bigger then that. 180amp min for welding bumpers. I would step it up to the Millermatic 211 or 212 those should be good for what your trying to do.

    1 amp per .001" thickness is the general rule of thumb I learned.

    Just ordered everything to start off building the bumper

    Lincoln MIG welder

    KIT INCLUDES:
    -Welding gun and cable assembly.
    -Work cable with work clamp.
    -Gas less nozzle for flux-cored welding.
    -Gas nozzle, gas regulator and hose for MIG welding.
    -1 lb. spool .035" (0.9mm) Innershield® NR®-211-MP flux-cored wire.
    -2 lb. spool .025" (0.6mm) SuperArc L-56 solid MIG wire.
    -.035" contact tips – quantity 3.
    -.025" contact tips – quantity 3.

    If you just bought that welder posted above you will be disappointed. You can not even weld 1/8th properly with a 88amp welder.

    Base metal. A tube bumper is .120" thick at least, so 120 amps is needed for proper penetration.

    Relentless Armored! Too many others to list.
    yeah, that one's going to be a major disappointment for truck fab. Only thing that thing is good for is sheetmetal/body work. Nothing thicker.
    As jerry said, 180-210 amps is where you should be looking
