Larger tires, with a bit of a lift
    Hello,

I have a 2008 TRD Tacoma. I have slightly over sized E rated tires and a bit of a lift in the truck already, with stock struts/shocks. I have been to a local shop here and they are recommending Bilstein.

Has anyone on this forum had any bad luck with Bilstien, or could have reasons to recommendand againest going this this product?

    enough to go over stuff
The trucks come them from toyota. The most popular shock on the site is the bilstien 5100 series. I had them on both my tacomas. They work great

The only reason why I could possibly say not Bilstein would be if you ultimately intend to build up your truck beyond the 5100's capabilities. Then you are in Icon, Fox & King territory (and beyond)

You can't beat the Bilstein for performance/value. A direct competitor in that space would be OME, which also gets owner raves around here.

Bilstein is a great entry level replacement shock that will give you some front lift without breaking the bank. They are an improvement over stock and work well. Ive got them on the shelf so let me know if I can answer any questions.

Thank you guys for all your feed back!

As I shopped around more in Calgary, Canada for a shop to completed the work and order the parts I needed. I ended up going with http://www.modernmotors.com/! Drew was a great help.
So with a ton of other factors in my decision I ended up going with the competitions to Bilstein and ordered in an entire old emu kits!! So that will give my truck a completely new strut/spring and shock/lief system in one nice neat package.
