Ended up going with a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk for a little over a year:

Just got in the bed lights, cooling panel, and rock lights! Will post pics of the install later tonight!

 

Went camping over the weekend. Did some shooting practice preparing to get my CCW this friday!!

 

LED headlights ended up failing so back to standard headlights

 

What brand? Did they overheat?

Truck looks good. I would recommend Pelfrey for your armor needs though, I've seen many All-Poo products not living up to expectations.

Finally getting a lift after Christmas! Here's wht I'm going with:
5100s
stock springs for now (can't decide on wht brand to get)
Wheelers OR HD 3 leaf AAL

 

65 degree weather today so shes washed and waxed plus put in some BriteAssLeds headlights in

 

Looking good. I desperately have to give mine a wash, still a little bit too cold to do that though.

for rear springs have you looked at the dakars from OME? I cant comment on the others, but just another suggestion for You. I have been pretty happy with mine for hauling stuff in the bed without sacrificing over all ride quality.

 

I did think about those but as of now they are a little outta my budget. One day tho..I've decided on Wheelers 3 leaf HD AAL for the rear

Finally got to install my lift over the weekend! Ended up with wheelers 3 lead aal, 5100s all around, and OME 884s for now.

So far so good. Much better than factory. Just need to get it aligned and everything should be back to normal

How do you like your cAp by the way? Really like the versatility of the fabric caps, just want to make sure I know all the pros and cons prior to purchasing.

 

It's awesome! I camp out of it too even through some pretty heavy rain storms and it's kept us dry..doesn't take up space if I fold it up so I can use the whole bed..only downsides/things to consider are it can be hard to see behind you at night cuz the windows are tinted, it shakes a bit on the freeway but stays strong, the fabric shrinks in the winter to the point where you wouldn't be able to get it back on if you took it off, and finally, the part where it is close to the cab and mounts to the bed, the mount is Velcro and when I first got it, it would come loose at freeway speeds and flap like crazy..the fix is simple, I just took a flat aluminum bar from the junk yard and used some left over clamps from a tonnue cover and clamped it down on top..I've been running that for about 2 years without any problems. If you've looked at the softtopper as well, there is only one really big difference which are the side windows in the Bestop which give you visibility out the sides of the top..hope I helped..best of luck on your decision!

 

Thanks, helped a bunch! Really appreciate it. I am pretty concerned for winter really. But I don't think I would be opening it the winter. So folding it in the winter is pretty much out of the question eh. Regardless compared to a hard top, I still have the option.

Gotcha. Thanks again. There has been a few times that I have been stuck with a Tonneau cover in the winter where I had to take it off. I figure with the extra space of the cap I should be fine. Worst comes to worst my sisters place has a heated garage.
