Maybe it's just me, but most tires get noisy unless you are running a soft ass tire like a michelin. I am considering duratracs when my stock ones wear out. Even the BFG all terrains get loud as they wear, welcome to an all terrain tire! Mudders are even worse.

Probably depends on how you drive, plus coupled with the crappy ABS in these trucks, that is the only concern of mine. I haven't heard many complaints about lack of traction in wet areas with the Duratracs.

Slightly noisy for an AT. Other than that a decent tire. Sidewalls aren't as thick some choices out there, but at the same time it makes the tires lighter. If you aren't scraping them against jagged rocks the better performance and gas mileage of a lighter weight tire makes up for it.

Depends on what you're doing with them.
They're an excellent tire for snow traction, wet traction, mud, sand, etc.
They're not a great tire for rock crawling because (like most AT tires) they don't have the sidewalls for it. If you plan on doing a lot of rock gardens you should opt for an MT for the thicker sidewalls.
They produce some road noise, but for an aggressive A/T I wouldn't consider them overly noisy.

I have never had an issue in wet conditions with my Duratracs. And in snow they are excellent.

I've had mine for about 30 - 35k miles. They definitely get louder with age. Vibrations have been an issue since about 25 -30k miles. They won't balance.

Biggest issue. They are TERRIBLE on wet roads. There is almost no traction what so ever. My ass end fish tails constantly when I'm on wet roads, and barely takes off at a stop sign if it's on an incline.

It's like driving on icy roads in 2wd. Will not buy again.

For how aggressive the tread on the Duratracs are, I'd say they are pretty damn quiet! I've never had an issue with rain traction except when backing up my steep driveway.

You shouldn't buy them if sidewall strength is a concern.

All you Cali guys talking about driving in rain is cute.

I live in Seattle (it rains here) and have had 265/70/17 Duratracs on my rig for 3 years, no problems with wet road traction.

When they wear out I'll get another set (or maybe ST Maxx in 255/80)

    Too many to list..
Not much experience with rain or snow here in the desert.

But I can say the sidewall is bad.. Wheeling on rocks has defiantly left their mark. looking for something else now..

since you're rolling on 20's i will assume not wheeling. there's a lot of nicer tires than duratracs out there, everybody runs duratracs it seems cause they look cool (that's all opinion though) and are available and advertised. i suggest looking at cooper, dick cepek, toyo, mickey thompson to see if they have a size that will make you happy. a bit more money but a better handling tire. all tires with aggressive tread will get louder with age.

as for my experiences with duractracs guys that never leave the pavement seem quite happy overall, guys that wheel with any seriousness don't get a second set. i have cooper st maxx and have been in an identical truck that had duractracs and i prefer coopers ride and also the knowing that they are much more stout. more weight = more rubber = more durable imo.

i haven't had any problems out of my duratracks. they have been very good in the rain, dirt, and mud. now i'm not wheeling my truck hard, just mainly back roads. onroad they are actually pretty quiet for an aggressive tire, and i haven't had any problems with road walk or anything. overall they have been a good tire.

now my next set of tires will probably be the hankook's simply because i don't really care for goodyear tires in general. fyi the duratracks were on the truck when i bought it.

on my trail rig i run either maxxis trepadors, swampers, mickey thompson claws. of them i like the maxxis tires best.

Similar issue. I tried changing pressure with no improvement. Just waiting for them to wear out before I buy something else (too bad they last forever).

I agree, great snow tire, maybe the best AT tire for the snow, but soft side walls, puncture easy, but that makes them lighter so better mpg, more sidewall flex on the highway, may not be the best choice for towing...
