is it my alignment, or is it a busted shock? i have recently asked two different shops about my uneven wear on the drivers side tire.one said it was my alignment. the other said it was a busted shock, he tested this by pressing down right above my fender on the hood. he came to his conclusion because of a hissing noise when it was depressed. could it just be that at one point in time the tire was ran on low pressure ? here are the pics. drivers side of the tire not the whole left hand side of the tire[IMG] the passenger tire looks pretty normal??? Toe & camber are alignment adjustments. Both are checked with alignment. I'd just get an alignment done.:) I've seen much, much worse though. How many miles?

on the truck its self is a lil over 67000. i bought it used and the dealer wouldnt come off a new set of tires because he cut the price down by 4000. so i cant blame him on that. i do need new tires desparetly! the credit card i was depending on to get new tires with is a pos. fyi CREDIT ONE will charge you 169$ to open an acct. with them!!!!!!!!! so i told them to cancel that card:)

    How old are the tires?

They look pretty old.... Are you getting new tires soon? I wouldn't necessarily worry about an allignment until you get NEW tires.

Sometimes I wonder if the tires wear funny when the tires get old & thin. I had a set of Bridgestone Duellers that wore on the insides when they were getting old & thin. I had the allignment done when new and had it checked - and nothing was out of spec.

When the shocks are bad, you'll usually get CUPPING - uneven choppy tire wear.

Here's some neat info - Perhaps balljoints are going bad?
