K, so higher priced may be better. Do "flyaways" equate to "never finding your copter again?" Or is there a a gps locator one can get?

If I was going to spend that kind of money on one I would buy an iPod Touch with a data plan, strap it to the copter and if it gets lost I would use find my iphone and find that sob. I'm sure you could rig a 12V 100+dB alarm to it to work with your radio as well some how. I had my 450 fly away in to a bush (30ish feet or so) when I turned on GPS mode.

There are a number of small GPS locator devices online to help you find a lost multi... My 3DR APM had a flyaway and then killed power at about 100 feet and it came crashing back to the ground so it was literally at my feet. Other folks aren't so lucky.

    oooOOOOOOoooooo sweeeeeet.

So, comparing the abilities of these DJI Spreading Wings, there isn't much difference in price between the "bodies" (S900-S1000+). It looks like you can outfit all the electronics the same. In the most general way, then, one is simply more powerful and can handle more weight, correct?
