1st pic - the bump stop is on its own arm to match the arc of the upper suspension arm so that the bump stop is making direct contact with the upper arm the entire time.

2nd pic - theoretically the upper suspension arm is keeping all of the forces on one plane, meaning that the bump stop is only being pushed away from the tube holding it, this means that tube is only in tension, and steal is strongest in tension.... to be honest I'd want to draw that up in CAD first before I built it, and even then things deflect alot more than our brains can comprehend and I couldn't say if this will work or not in the long run.

    Anymore pics of this setup??

I finally got my truck back yesterday after a rat had decided to eat part of my wiring harness. I hadn't driven it in about 2 months and forgot how bouncy the back end feels. I have the DMZ SUA kit with 3.0 SwayAways triples. I valved them with .012 on both stacks, the bypass tubes are all the way open, and lowered the nitrogen to 150 PSI. On the dunes it feels smooth, haven't really tested in the desert, but on the street it just rides so rough and stiff that it'll literally make me hate life after 30 minutes of driving. It only has one free bleed open, should I open another or valve differently? Suggestions?
For the record, in case weight is the issue, it has a spacer saver design bed cage, boxed chassis from the gas tank back along with some reinforcing. I need to throw my spare back on there though as soon as I add one more D-ring for the strap.

    ...too much shit to list.
Drop the rebound shims to .008 with rebound tube all the way open.
And at least a spare tire. If you're not putting any other weight back there may want to drop comp shims down too.

Flutter the Compression stack will help the street ride some. Take a smallest size shim from a .008 or .010 stack and place it in between the largest and second largest shim in the comp stack.

I'll have to add a flutter stack really soon then and see how it feels with that, would the shims from 2" or 2.5" work to make a 3.0" flutter?

My guess from a mechanical aspect is that all shims would be the same? Just different diameters and thicknesses so therefore I should be able to just buy them from Downsouth and use those to make the flutter stack?

While the flutter may help you on comp, it won't stop the rear from packing due to slow rebound. The leaf bushings already slow down the suspension movement, especially on droop. A "rough ride" can be perceived by both compression and rebound problems, not just comp. Given you have almost no weight in the back right now, I'm inclined to think both sides are the valving are off. Speed up that rebound for sure though.

I bought the kit and have since changed my mind. It will be a brand new kit... i ordered it a couple weeks ago and don't know if it is finished yet? I currently have the DMZ setup and its going to be plenty for me. I raced my truck at a local event recently and my suspension is solid for what I do! I am going to invest the money elsewhere as I am on a stock axle, gears and motor.

I would be interested in that link kit, but I told myself I wouldnt give them any of my money after how rude they were when I called in for an sua kit, seems like they dont care about the customer unless you want a race kit, just my opinion. Link kit does seem like a solid product though.
