Washed, clayed and waxed the Ol' Bastard.

What a difference the clay bar makes.

What I learned: The paint on my cab roof is toast. It's about 10 shades lighter than normal and it has the rust cancer at the top of the windshield in the middle.

    This.

I think it would look really cool if it was a vinyl decal.

I think it looks fine, same place the SR5 badge usually goes, that it's a bit flatter.

    Nope

Yep. Pro dry plus a prefilter.

Nope. When I hydrolocked i had factory airbox with K&N filter and a shitload of saltwater and sand. Ran factory filters for a while after that but could never keep the mud and shit out of the airbox no matter what I did (including removing the elbow). Ditched everything and now I run AFE pro-dry with prefilter. Been mostly happy with that since in terms of keeping shit out of the intake (and also made room for the soon to be engine cage).

Want to trade beds? My bed has a rusty spot in the front corner. That way, your rusty cab top can have a friend.

Yesterday I replaced the incandescent bulbs in my bed cap 3rd brake with LEDs:

Today I wired them up to a module that makes it pulse when braking along with an LED strip for my bed cap:

Ignore the wiring to the right. It's temporary until the plunger switch that I ordered comes in. This will turn the light on when the bed cap is opened similar to a dome light.

I also had my ruggedT decals installed:

And best of all, loaded it up for some trails this weekend:

Hmmm, maybe I'll order a prefilter and slap the intake back in there.

Ah gotcha. Thanks for clarifying. Could have swore you were just stock after being all mad about the rotors getting all f'ed up when you rebuilt the blower.

Wasn't really mad...was more mad at the fucking surging problem I was having at the time. I figured it was just a mater of time after that giant gulp of water.

And the $1000 was for the full rebuild, not just the rotors (including rotors, new nose cone, shaft (i bent the old one), bearings, oil, etc).

How do I decide what my truck is worth? I might need to sell it for some down payment cash. The bank is being a little bitch.

kbb. seriously. most people won't care about the mods. They just want a truck. Otherwise, ask what you think it is worth and adjust as you gauge interest.

1000 for a full rebuild ain't bad. Should last a long time now.

Unless you decide to go swimming again :p

Kbb says $6500. That wouldn't even help me with the bank, so for that I wouldn't bother. I would need at least double to even make it worthwhile vs. borrowing cash from someone.

I'm really unclear what you are asking for.

If it is negotiating value of the truck to determine collateral for a loan from the bank, they will go off of KBB. They might throw in a few grand more based on personal credit but they may charge you a higher interest rate since it becomes an unsecure loan.

If you are selling it, most people won't care about the mods. They will negotiate using KBB and local market prices (like Craigslist). Many people part out the high demand items and then sell the truck closer to stock for near the KBB.

Yea most people won't want the mods. They don't really add value generally.

Parting it and going back to stock would get you more cash

man I am am happy we have a good used market in Cali. $6500 is laughable, you would get 14k every day of the week for your tuck here, and people do pay for the mods out here.

if you want a stock truck than buy a stock truck, people are funny.

You also need to check craigslist and local places to see how much they are going for in your area. Around here, kbb is far off of their actual value since they are highly desirable. A truck that kbb says is $6500 would go for say, 12k here. Not sure if it's similar in your area.
