What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I agree with having a dash cam and heading out to get one today.
Had some asshole pull out in front of me yesterday from a side street and almost rear ended him, I slammed on the brakes and moved to the left to avoid the hit but he kept moving in the direction as if he wanted me to rear end him it was very close.
Typically when you rear end someone its your fault and it would have been hard for me to prove it was his without a dash cam showing what actually happened so yea I'm getting one for protection against people not paying attention on the road.

 

Yup, something like that is what finally pushed me over the edge. I had been thinking about getting one, but a couple weeks ago 2 of us almost t-boned some dumb woman (Why is it always a woman?) ran a red light after it had been green for us for a while. I would have demolished her drivers door and the guy next to me would have demolished the rest. Got to test my brakes though, they still work.

 

So you guys with dash cams have it on when on road and erase everything when you get home?

Looks like you have stock upper and lower control arms. How did the alignment turn out afterwards? Any issues, I'm thinking of going that route.

 

It should definitely stop the pestering I have recently received from a few 2015 Colorado/Canyon owners. Even though my surprisingly disadvantaged V6 is about 67 horsepower short, it still doesn't get sucked into the wake of these "supposedly superior" trucks from GM.

It's just insurance to make sure they don't get too comfortable picking on Tacos.

Nope. Most will record in set segments (think mine is 5 minutes) then it just maes segments till SD card is full. Once SD card is full it earses the oldest segment. So it auto deletes the oldest. It really is a easy set it up and forget about it till you really need it.

It may have 305HP, but it only has 269TQ. Taco is 266TQ. HP means nothing, ask the Honduh boys lol.

Decided to get the truck dirty

 

This is now on my short list of mods since the new lift. Interested in the possibility of the extra torque causing any drive line issue?

 

Well, it's one reason I beefed-up my stock PreRunner suspension to the stouter BAJA suspension from TRD. I knew one day my weakness for power would overcome my rational thought and I'd end up buying a blower for my truck...so here I am, LOL!

I believe it's a mild increase in relative terms. It's not like going from a 240 horse powerplant to 400 RWHP...so our suspensions should be good. I'm just concerned about spring wrap-up under hard acceleration.....

 

I have LR uca just didn't get a pic of them. the boss c/o are very nice but really don't have anything to compare them to. thinking about the boss leaf pack next.
