Seriously, fuck changing light bulbs. So today, I went outside before work (mind you, it's like 30 fucking degrees out) and went to change my parking lights to LED. I changed my third brake light, license plate lights, map lights, dome light, all last night, but didn't want to mess with the parking lights until today.

So there I am, 0900, changing a lightbulb in the cold ass wind. I pulled out the driver's side parking light socket, old bulb came out, new LED went in, and I pushed the light back into the housing. Went to test that side, and it didn't work. So I proceeded to pull the socket back out, when suddenly, this:

Well, fuck. So I knew instantly that I needed to take the entire housing out. EASIER SAID THEN DONE. I don't know about the pre-2012's, but my housing was a BITCH to get out.

So after struggling with it for almost 2 hours, this is where I got:

So after that, I got the light out, re-installed everything, and now I have LEDs. NOT worth it though. Looking back, I wish I would have never messed with the parking lights. But now they're on there and I put a piece of electrical tape around them just to make sure they never come loose.

Did you go with blue tag lights or just cool white?

I bet. I couldn't decide on cool or warm for the tag lights. I went with warm on my dome and map lights doe

AGREED. Saw one the other day on a 2007-2013 silverado....passengerside, aimed properly, diverside...pointing straight into the ground three feet infront of the truck  and the fog lights were brighter than the headlights

HIDS in stock housings, no me gusta

I'd so much rather do LED swap or full retrofit with projectors, leds, and blue halos

Eh, I prefer all black with just amber halos. I'd like to see what it looked like with amber "demon eyes" and amber halos, but I feel like it would be too much.

I don't think the demon eyes being the same color as the halos would go well together...But idk. Would be hard to find a couple colors that go well together I imagine

I'm gonna do LED headlights with a slight tint. I should get my front/rear LED turn signals in sometime this week.
