This is the stuff that gets my attention. I try my hardest to ignore this shit but some of it just slips in. The part that kills me is that things like this are always the product of an uneducated person. I am not talking about the political argument stuff....there are seriously many dumb people in the world. The bad part is that when they hear someone say this about them, they just get offended any yet never spend any time quietly reflecting to determine if it is true!! They truly do not know and are not willing to accept it! Now...I am no rocket scientist but c'mon...are you a troll or are you really that fucking stupid?

Hey OP, regardless of what many others on here may think, I agree with you. Does that make you/us bad parents? I don't think so.... At least we are involved with our kids lives and spend time with them. I have personally seen many cases where both parents have lost custody and another family member or foster parents have taken the kids in.
As far as censorship goes, there is not much nowadays even in school. I would much rather have my kids watch an "R" rated movie with me than out on their own behind my back and/or with friends.

you can't ask a question on a public forum and then get offended at the responses.

exposing your kids to that shit is not going to make them "stronger" it's going to desensitize them and turn them into big weirdos.

Do you have control over what your kid learns in school? Somewhat.

Do you have control over your child learning how to tell someone to "screw off" from a movie you took them to ? 100%

There is a difference in spending time with your kids and spending quality time with your kids.

Well it looks like i found the answer to my initial question which has apparently sky-rocketed into an online gangbang on my gf's parenting skills..yes i said gangbang. (this is the part you don't teach your children how to read so they can never read bad words like gangbang).
I enjoy going to the movies because I take them and the father of these children take them and the mother of these children take them for what they are..."Movies" moving pictures that portray the directors vision of a sequence of events. If your children are growing up to be school shooters, serial-killers, rapists, cheats, thieves, or just basic assholes it wasn't because they saw a movie with brad Pitt blowing up Nazis in WWII Germany.

Did he say that they were his girlfriends' kids? So why is he asking this question, they are not his kids. So if he agrees with or not, with the theater, he has no legal say, but whatever.

You still refuse to answer the question about your age and this woman's age that produced these children.

If your 4 y/o kid is sneaking out to watch movies, you have bigger issues then the content of the movie.

Why beat around the question? For all I know she was 14 when she got knocked up or 40. Judging by her decisions it doesn't seem her parents taught her valuable life lessons.

As well I asked you're age too

Yes, but there is also a difference in watching a movie based on a war that happened versus watching a movie that revolves around sex, drugs, and alcohol.

Doesn't necessarily have to be a 4 y/o but any minor in general....

You've just foolishly demonstrated the reason for the rule, losing your argument: The young cannot fathom the distinction between reality and fantasy. For you to continue playing dumb after stating the obvious truth can only be viewed as you being a hard headed fool.

Before you get your panties in a bunch at this, stop and think back to your own very early childhood and remember the nightmare event that you failed to understand at the time, but which you remember to this very day. If you have developed sufficiently to understand this, then perhaps you can be man enough to give it up.

    The way I see it:

Every person has their own "Culture"

Some people will NEVER expose their kids to violence until they are teenagers.
Some people will wait until they are 6 or 7+
Some people wont prevent their kids from seeing whatever it happens to be what they see.

Its all up to the parents and what the end results are that the parents want.

this is America. We are free and allowed to make our own decision and decisions for our kids.

Nobody is expected to agree with those decisions either, that's what makes America America. We are free. When you start saying "oh, the norm is this or that and so you must abide by it", its no longer America. Hundreds of years ago, nobody agreed with anybody on "religious freedom" since multiple groups had their own religion and rules to abide by, but they let it go because it was America. nowdays it seems to be the opposite..."I don't agree with that so I'm calling 911.".

give me a break. What are our soldiers fighting and dying for? The more "rules" we impose on ourselves because "my neighbor let his 5 year old see a violent movie", the less we become the America worth dying for.

    Let it go
