I've managed to refrain from lifting my truck so far, but seeing all these great looking trucks on this site day in and day out, I can't hold back any longer. I need some advice and opinions before I pull the trigger, so I hopefully do this the correct way the first time...

Right now my truck is essentially stock, though I do have the TSB AAL. The rear sits higher about 2.5" on the driver's side, and about 2" on the passenger's side. I think I'd like to get some 5100's up front, and set them to 1.75. This would allow me to skip getting UCA's, and should help prevent any alignment or other issues. I'd get some 265 75 16 Goodyear Dura Tracs.

Here's where I need some help. I'm guessing this setup should level my truck pretty close. However, I actually prefer the rear sitting a little higher so that when I throw some junk in the back it does not sit nose high. Also, I am considering a Leer sometime in the future, which would add a couple hundred pounds. So I'm thinking that I should also get the Toytec AAL for TSB springs (like mine). If I do this, shouldn't I then also be putting some 5100's on the rear as well?

By the time you add up the cost of the Toytec CO's, the rear 5100's, and the AAL for the TSB springs, I might as well just get their Ultimate Lift Kit. I have no problem doing this, I just want to make sure that this is the route I should go.

I have the rear TSB, and new front eibach springs lifting the front about 1.7". The truck sits with the rear still about 1" higher, but looks pretty level. I am running 265/75r16 tires. Everything looks pretty proportional. If cost is an issue the front lift at 1.75" seems to be a good option.

No, cost is not an issue, but at the same time I don't want to purchase parts that I don't need. I don't have any problem getting Toytec's ultimate lift kit, I just want to make sure that is the best option, given the details of my earlier post.

Past ride - 3" OME 885s&Shocks/ TSB 1.5AAL/ AX184 Rims 285 Firestone destination ATs/ 2 Shallow mount P310s in Supercrew Box - Punch 601s, Beefed up Hunter Brush guard, Tint, Fog light mod, AFE Drop in, AC and Fog light mods, scangauge
I have the Ome 885s with spacers..and shocks 3+inches of lift and Stock UCAs and got my alignment within spec and it rides fine...so don't let those reports scare you. Then went 1.5 TSB AAL with shock extenders..for the price its the way to go IMHO

So are you saying the ULK is not necessary given my scenario, or that there are other options?

Surely there are others to weigh in on this?

Your running OME 885's AND spacers? BAD idea. No way you alignment is in spec. Can you post up the print out?

The Bilstien 5100's set at 1.75" lift is a sound lift option. Get the 5100's for the rear too, as they are a good upgrade from stock.

I have the toytech ultimate lift kit. I had to buy the total chaos upper control arms to get my alignment right. Or at least thats what I told my wife ;)

I will say the ride is a little harsher, but I am used to it now. After I purchased my full size tire and matching (per Longbow's advice) and put that big sucker in the back it rides a little smoother.

Maybe you should read this. Can you post a pick of your set-up?

I have similar questions... I am trying to decide what to buy in order to lift my truck but I dont understand too much of anything on these posts. Call me dense, but I have never put any serious aftermarket products on any of my trucks and I wanna do this one right. I see all you guys talking about the Toytec Ultimate and the OME and the Bilstein 5100's, but Im having a hard time justifying spending that kind of time and money when Ive found this kit on eBay-http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330357532309&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
I have yet to be enlightened as to the "ideal" lift set up for me, so I keep an close eye on what you gents have to say. Thanks for your patience and understanding guys.
