Was about to order but live chat is offline right now. I'm going to try calling and report back.

Update; I was able to get a discount calling also. Since I'm in NJ and so is Carid they had to charge tax, and was charged for shipping but they are mailing me a $10 coupon to use on my next purchase.

Thanks for the heads up Shwig .

They told me that their profit if you order all four shocks is only $11 and they couldn't offer me free shipping (shipping would be $8.XX). However they did offer me a gift card for $10 for any future purchases.

They called me actually when I left my cart full and closed my browser. Pretty creepy but also pretty smart. Guy was super nice and answered all my questions.

Are these the correct 5100's or are they the shorter ones? Maybe I miss understood a thread I read previously, but I thought some 5100's were shorter then other ones.

These are the correct ones. The front and back are 2 different shocks since the front is adjustable. Add 2 of each to the cart and talk to someone on live chat for some sort of discount. I got mine tax free with shipping for around $7. It's a damn good deal.

Ok just wanted to double check, because the Bilstein web site shows 2 different types of 5100 for Tacomas. Ride height adjustment shock & 5100 light lifted truck shock.

It is a good deal, they didn't offer me free shipping they offered me a $10 off next purchase.

Sadly they don't offer 5100 for a 1st gen. At least their CATALOG says they don't carry them. You lucky 2nd gens get all the good stuff! lol

If you're talking about CARid, talk to the people on the live chat and ask about free shipping. It looks like it depends on which sales rep you talk to. My shipping was like $7 but tax free. And as far as the shocks, the rear are non adjustable and the front are adjustable. You have to send the sales rep the part number on the website. Send both front and back

CarID has no adjustable 5100s in stock for Tacoma. End of November or early December before they ship orders.
