I am going for an Inferno AT but also told the dealer I would take black also. I struggled between getting a MT or not.

yeah i did too and became set on MT, now i decided i'd compromise with an AT due to the slim chance that i'd get a black MT.

Had one on order from my local dealer for 3 months, build date kept getting pushed back, then found one at another dealer 150 miles away....So i drove up after work to get it. Some dealers can get them, and some simply just don't know. But when you find one you have to act quick.

2015 TRD Pro in the Garage!

I had a dealer in Arizona send me a copy of a letter that might explain some of this. Seems that Toyota is trying to get Pros out in the public to dealers and is back logging orders for a future run. Kind of sucks, but that might explain why lots of folks have had orders in for months while others who didn't order one have them sitting in their garage.

    start of letter

    Hello-

Iwanted to put everyone in the loop on TRD Pro, based on the current info Ihave.

    TacomaTRD Pro

Thisis the only trd pro model we are doing a "one per dealership" for all71 dealers in the region. We haven't got one to all 71 dealers yet, and it'sgoing to be a while as we only get around 15/month. Tacoma TRD Pro is alsogoing to see the smallest production of the 3 models (slightly more than 200 tothe Denver Region for the whole year). Thesold order bank is getting pretty large, I recommend being cautious on takingmore than an order or two at this point on TRD Pro Tacoma.

    TundraTRD Pro

Theseare starting to flow a little bit onto the regular allocation, so set yourpreferences accordingly. Denver Region has been estimated to get around 300 ofthese for the full 2015 model year. Inferno (4X0) is still the dominant colorbeing sprayed in San Antonio, but we should start to see a couple white andblack on the next few allocations.

    4RunnerTRD Pro

Thiswill be the model with the most ample supply, approximately 400 for the 2015model year. We have already seen a decent number hitting allocation, so if youwant one, preference for it. Inferno (4X0) has not started to be sprayed at the4Runner plant in Japan, so just white and black for now.

When you receive a sold order pleasesend me a copyof the deposit andbuyer’s order when submitting the sold order. Either fax these 2 supportingdocuments to 310-xxx-xxxx or email me a picture of them. This will get yourcustomer in the sold order bank and from there we will fill based on oldestmatching sold order to what we have on an allocation.

Soldorders are subject to there being enough production to satisfy demand; we mayhave to cap individual dealer amounts or stop taking orders if we won’t be ableto satisfy existing sold orders.

    end of letter

You might try watching the TRD Pro Dealer Sightings Thread as lots of them are getting posted up and are real trucks at dealers! I chased several real leads from that thread and finally got one from my local dealer (I was #1 on their list and they finally are getting one). Good luck in your quest!
