Yeah I love having the roomier back seat, especially when I have to haul people back there. When packing for Moab for 9 days my wife and I managed to fit all of our stuff in the back seat so the only things I had in the bed were the grill and nitrogen bottle for my ORI's.

 

I seriously have considered removing my back seats for dog fort.

31 yrs now and I don't think I've ever had a problem with the time change.

I'm too young to do that yet... ya know... kids and stuff... You could certainly fit a lot more back there with the seat removed though.

 

I do as well. I feel like I could be far more productive while it is light out.

Well that's if we have kids. We're still on the fence there, but at the moment we definitely want to wait til we are a bit more established. I should graduate in May and then who knows where I may end up for work and what not. So we'll pry give it a year or so from me having to legit job before we decide to have kids or not.

But... accidents and shit happen... so you never know. haha


I have a few friends who have traded out their rigs for 4 doors and 4runners so they can fit their kids in them.

 

I got a 4 door from the get go for this reason

 

I wasn't thinking of kids when I bought mine (wasn't even married yet) but I had wanted a 4 door for the extra in cab space. I don't really use my bed and I knew I wouldn't before hand so I opted for the cab space over bed space.

 

Ha! I use my bed semi-regularly and have been contemplating going LB on my next truck.

 

the next truck for me is going to be a diesel tow rig (few years down the road for sure). It'll be nice to save tires on the Taco when heading for those long trips like Moab and such. Plus the diesel will probably be cheaper to drive while towing the taco than the Taco would be on it's own. haha

 

I am regretting selling the DMax for horses, farm towing and stuffs. Honestly should of kept the Tundra. Stopped at the dealership on Fri to sell wheels/tires and looked at the new Tundras...so nice. I feel I will end up back there today

I keep telling my wife she needs to trade her car in for a Powerstroke (she's a ford girl). If I'm going to use it as a tow rig the diesel will get better mileage than a gasser.

When I went to Moab in 2012, Raisin towed digiratus's Taco down with his 400HP Tundra and averaged around 10mpg...

rctoy towed his Taco down with his cummins and averaged over 20 mpg.

That better mileage than my Taco gets and if I'm boosted by the time I get a diesel, premium costs about the same as diesel so it'll he that much cheaper to tow with a diesel than drive my Taco.

 

As far as towing....hmmm a worthy diesel price = a ton of fuel in the Taco.
Buy one and have her write it off as farm use

I love the Pstokes but find the GM is far more comfy for my old 45 years....DB .

 

Friend at work has a new Tundra. After hunting season just towing around his 4 seater razor, from what he told me, those Tundras are thristy beasts when used for towing.
