After recent events I've gone through, I am thinking about dropping out of school and going through the Air Force or Navy. What kinds of thoughts and opinions do you guys have on this?

    Highschool or college?

Do not drop out of HS. College isn't for everyone but don't drop out of highschool.

i could have sworn you just graduated high school in june of this year.....but i could be wrong.

if you are dropping out of highschool, you are a fkn idiot. sorry, but this has been an issue with my younger brother and sister giving up during highschool.
if not i am sorry for using the f bomb.

if you are talking about college..didnt you just start? or....
we need more details before i get too deep.

I had a friend join the air force because he was hungry for attention. his gf dumped him and he posted all over his mysquace "i am leaving because of you" we dont talk much anymore

    details..... explain!
highschool/college...and how long you have been going...and reason as to why you are considering the air force

if you want to join the AF or Navy whether or not you finish college, look into OCS (thats what its called for Marine Corps and Navy, not sure if its the same for AF) basically you go to school full time then train over summers then get your commission after you graduate. Im doin this for the Marines.

i assume you are talking about college. if its high school, stay in. if its college, do what you want. can you be happy in the service? can you take orders? personally i have a problem taking orders, so i dont think i would have done well in the service. also i'm lazy. but if you think it would be a good fit go for it, college isn't for everyone. even if it is for you, it wouldn't hurt to let the military pay for it.

Yes it's college. I hate it here. It's not for me. My girlfriend dumped me. I don't have a lot of money. I need to get out of my house. Life sucks.

man, I'm sorry to hear that Derek. Can't really give you much advice about the service, though I wish I could.

Graduate college. Trust me, it WILL pay off in every way possible. Then you could possibly go into the service if you wanted to as a commissioned officer, as I've been told it's leagues better than being enlisted. Better pay also.

Don't leave JUST because the woman left. Join if YOU really want to join. Honestly, life goes on bro. I lost my 4 year relation ship shortly after HS too. Hope everything works out for the best man

It's not just that, but it's a huge part. All my friends are gone and I'm not making any in college. I don't know. I want to be a part of something.
